New Delhi, Jeevan Kumar Mittal, who hails from Amritsar, Punjab is an underrated human rights supporter, moved to Delhi in 1966 with his parents. He has been running Mittal adocumentation Center since 1975, in Moti Nagar, Delhi.
Mr.Mittal has been an unsung hero who raised his voice supporting the issues faced by common man and has been writing over 3000 letters to the President Secretary, starting from the most common Aadhar card issues until the recent Teen Talak.
Though most of his concerns about which he has written haven’t been addressed to his satisfaction by the Government, he was still successful in getting some, like the 6 months paid maternity leave for women.
‘Common man is unable to reach the Government with his problems and get them addressed effectively and there should be a proper medium through which they can be addressed which are acknowledged and answered to everyone’s satisfaction. I will continue to raise my voice on behalf of the society and their existing issues, no matter what!’, said Mr.Mittal in an interview with us.
