Woman yorks Shami with private message googly, pacer trolled

New Delhi, Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami has landed himself in a controversy as a woman named Sophia has accused him of harassing her. The lady blamed Shami for sending her a series of messages. Sophia said, ”Anyone wanna tell me why some random cricket player with 1.4m followers keep messaging me.”

However, the screenshot of Sophia displayed a direct message from Shami’s official Instagram handle. The message displays Shami wishing the lady ‘Good afternoon.’

Earlier, Shami was in the news when his estranged wife Hasin Jahan blamed him for having an affair. She even accused the pacer of match-fixing.

It is worthy to mention here that team India’s decision to drop Mohammed Shami for the crucial semifinal encounter against New Zealand at the Old Trafford took his coach Badruddin Siddique by surprise.

Reacting to it, Badruddin said that he was stunned to see his ward missing from the starting XI at the Old Trafford against New Zealand.

“Stunned. How can you drop someone after he has picked 14 wickets for you in four games? What more do you expect out of your fast bowlers? I thought the rest in the Lanka game was an attempt to keep him fresh for the knockouts. Clearly, my assessment was wrong,” Badruddin rued.
