Chiyaan Vikram attends audio launch of ‘Cobra’, addresses rumours of heart attack

New Delhi: Chiyaan Vikram, after being admitted to the hospital, attended the grand audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Cobra’. He also thanked his fans for the love and support they showed when the actor was not in the best of his health. At the audio launch, which was held on July 11, Vikram also addressed the rumours regarding a heart attack.

Tamil actor got hospitalised as he is reported to have felt uneasiness. He is admitted to Kauvery hospital in Chennai. The doctors made no official announcement about the cause of his hospitalisation. This led to the emergence of rumours that said the actor is suffering from a heart attack and is undergoing surgery. ‘Raavanan’ star was admitted into the hospital on July 8 and was discharged on July 10.

The actor was supposed to attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan-I, on July 8. Vikram could not attend the event due to the deterioration of his health and hospitalisation. Ponniyin Selvan-I is a period drama directed by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi and Sobhita Dhulipala along with ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram.

Addressing the gathering at the audio launch, the actor said, “I saw, I saw all the reports. Many morphed my photo over a sick man’s body and kept it as thumbnails. They went creative and it was good. Thank you. I feel that I have experienced so much in life, so this isn’t a huge concern. My family, friends and fans have been supportive. I don’t need anything else in life.”

The upcoming film ‘Cobra’ is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and will release in theatres on August 11. The film features Srinidhi Shetty and cricketer Irfan Pathan in lead roles, along with Chiyaan Vikram.
