New Delhi: Amid a silent ‘boycott’ of The Kashmir Files by Hindi film industry, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has come out in effusive praise of the movie. Heaping praises on the movie, Kangana congratulated the movie crew & team for putting the atrocities & genocide of 1990s in valley in right perspective.
The actress came down heavily on the Hindi film industry and said that this movie has washed away all their sins.
“Itni achi film banayi hai inhone ki Bollywood ke paap dho diye (They have made such a great movie that Bollywood’s all sins have been washed away)”, the actress said.
Kangana took time out to watch Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial on Monday and was subsequently sharing her views with paparazzi after stepping out of theatre.
She also urged those from within the industry to come forward for promoting The Kashmir Files.
“Bollywood people make such nonsense movie and promote them like anything. They should promote this movie,” Kangana added.
Kangana’s remarks come a day after Akshay Kumar praised the movie for bumper booking in theatres. He congratulated Anupam Kher & the team of Kashmir Files for bringing back the audience in large numbers, after pandemic.
This is not the first time that Kangana clearly elicited her strong views on the movie. Last week also, she also took potshots at the Bollywood for keeping mum on Kashmir Files & not uttering a word despite strong response from audience.
Hitting out at the silence in industry over the movie, she said, “Bollywood bullies & their cronies are shocked at the tremendous response to Kashmir Files. The world is watching but not them, their time is upp.”
The movie has seen a phenomenal run at Box Office since its release. It started off on an average note but the earnings have been swelling since then. On Sunday, it earned over Rs 15 crore on Day 3 of release.
