Amit Mishra recovers from Covid-19; thanks Frontline workers for support

New Delhi: Veteran Leg spinner Amit Mishra who plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL recovers from Covid-19. He took to social media to announce his recovery.

He wrote, Today I have been finally declared covid negative. At this moment I just wanna thank our Frontline workers, and tell them: You have my support and heartfelt appreciation for all you do. We are deeply grateful to you for all the sacrifices that you and your family are making.

Star spinner Amit Mishra was moved to a designated medical care facility after he tested positive for coronavirus.

Amit Mishra has been one of the unsung heroes of Indian Premier League. The 38-year-old spinner has picked up 164 wickets in 152 matches in the IPL and is just 7 wickets away from breaking Lasith Malinga’s all-time record for the most wickets in the T20 league.

The Indian Premier League Governing Council (GC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting, unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season with immediate effect.
