Sensex opens flat as Nifty fluctuates: Check trading news for today

New Delhi: Sensex opened on a high note in the day’s trading, following gains in previous sessions. However, the benchmark index declined by over 90 points on Wednesday. Nifty showed a fluctuating trend today after opening on a high. The index declined by nearly 6 points on Wednesday.

BEML:

BEML has obtained an order from the Ministry of Defence for High Mobility vehicles. The order has a value of approximately Rs 758 crores.

BEML’s plant in Kerela would manufacture and deliver the vehicles to the Indian Army within a year. High Mobility vehicles would be having an instrumental part in the logistics support of the Indian Army.

HDFC Bank:

India’s largest private sector bank saw loan growth of 19% in the third quarter, which ended on 31 December 2020. The loan figures were recorded at ₹10,82,000 crore, according to the HDFC’s statement.

HDFC had loan figures of Rs 9,36,000 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. The deposits of the bank rose by 3% quarter-on-quarter, recorded at Rs 12.7 lakh crore.

HDFC Bank’s CASA ratio was recorded at 43% in the quarter ended on 31 December 2020. In the previous fiscal year, the CASA ratio was recorded at 39.5% in December 2019. The CASA ratio of HDFC rose from 41.6% as recorded on 30 September 2020.

The advances of the banks rose by 4% quarter-on-quarter in the quarter ended on December 31, 2020. The total advances were recorded at 10.82 lakh crore at the end of the quarter.

Godrej Consumer Products:

The leading FMCG manufacturer Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has declared its projections for the new year. The company expects to provide close to low double-digit sales growth in India. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd stated that it expects to deliver double-digit sales growth in the October-December 2020 quarter.

Soaps and hair colors products of the company are expected to deliver strong mid-teen growth. The household insecticides segment of the FMCG company is expected to record high single-digit growth.

The company had declared that its hair color segment made a recovery in the October-December 2020 quarter.
