New Delhi: Dry run of the coronavirus vaccine is being carried out in 259 places in 116 districts across the country on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan made a big announcement, saying that the coronavirus vaccine will be available free of cost all across India. Harsh Vardhan reached reviewed the dry run at the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and told the media that it will be free not only in Delhi but all over India.
The coronavirus vaccine distribution process is undergoing a dry run being run at 3 places in Delhi at Daryaganj, Dwarka and Dilshad Gardens.
Ignore rumors: Harsh Vardhan
“I appeal to the people not to ignore the rumors,” Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on the COVID-19 vaccine dry run.
“Ensuring the safety and efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine is our priority. Various types of rumors were spread during polio immunization, but people took the vaccine and India is now polio free,” he added.
The Health Minister said that the feedback received after the dry run in 4 states was included in the coronavirus vaccination guidelines and in all the states and Union Territories today.
“The dry run is being run as per the new guidelines. Apart from giving the actual Covid-19 vaccine, every procedure is being followed during the drill,” Harsh Vardhan said.
Covid-19 Vaccine Dry Run
Coronavirus vaccination mock drill is being carried out in 2 to 3 districts of every state. There are around 25 health workers at each Covid-19 vaccination center. Arrangements for storage of the coronavirus vaccine are being reviewed will be seen during the mock drill.
Just as the entire process will be done when the Covid-19 vaccine arrives, this mock drill will be followed. The coronavirus vaccine for storage will be sent to the cold chain, which means that after coming from the company how its storage will be, it will also be found in the dry run. The Covid-19 vaccine will be supplied to states from storage.
After this, the Covid-19 vaccine will be delivered to the districts. The coronavirus vaccine will be delivered to districts from the state’s main depot. During this time the medical team will monitor the entire process. There will also be an investigation to reach the people. The transportation of the vaccine throughout the journey will also take care of the temperature. People who will be vaccinated will be sent an SMS. The vaccination team will be mentioned in the SMS.
