New Delhi: Despite a lengthy lockdown which was intended to curb the COVID-19 virus, the coronavirus pandemic is getting more serious with each passing day.

The number of coronavirus infections is rising at an alarming rate in India with thousands falling victim to the COVID-19 virus every day.

The situation has become so dangerous that the number of coronavirus patients is rising by almost 1,00,000 every day and daily spikes of over 50,000 COVID-19 infections are coming to light for more than a month now.

Over the last few days, the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic has gathered even more pace as the number of COVID-19 cases is rising by more than 90,000 daily.
