FARIDABAD : This Ramlila in Faridabad has been telling the epic tale of the Ramayana in a Broadway style. Held at the Ramlila ground of sector 15, Faridabad from the 8th of October till the 19th of October 2018, these moments of Navratra brought the families of Faridabad together not only for watching Ramlila but to live to that epic era once again with a difference.
The two layers of giant LED screens brought to life the world of Ramayana, transporting the audience to dense jungles, golden cities, lavish palaces and spectacular durbars.
The screens, providing the backdrop for the onstage action, were placed in such a way that it created a 3D effect.
What made this Ramlila different was that it was managed and governed by people from various professions, dignitaries, social workers, businessmen and other prominent learnt citizens for non-profit and ‘Seva Bhavna’ purpose. This Ramlila has been quite popular and has won a lot of recognition and awards for best Ramlila, Ram, Sita, Ravan & director in a course of 11 years. The Ramlila of Shri Sraddha Ramlila Committee Trust ranks as the 5th best Ramlila in the nation. Here you’re shown the motivations and positive attributes of both Kaikeyi and Ravana, which is rare. The use of the special effects during the Sita haran scene and getting the sanjeevani buti by Hanuman using the crane was the icing on the cake. They are given a good sense of what it must have been like to live in that time.
The biggest highlight of the Shri Shraddha Ramlila Committee Trust were the fireworks post the Lanka Dahan scene.
The Cabinet Minister of Haryana, Shri Vipul Goel graced this Ramlila too and was honored as the Chief Guest of Shri Shraddha Ramlila Committee Trust. Captain M L Sachdeva, Rakesh Ahuja, Shailendera Garg, Vivek Gupta, Dilip Verma, Ajay Kharbanda, Anil Chawla, Shravan Chawla have always been the backbone to make the Ramlila of Shri Shraddha Ramlila Committee Trust an epic to remember.
The show came to an end with the ‘Tilak Ceremony’ on the forehead of participants playing the role of Ram, Sita and Lakshman on the stage and with the beautiful songs of victory of Rama by the talented Charvi Chawla who has earlier being seen in featuring in Voice India Kids, Indian Idol, Sare-ga-ma-pa.
