Festivities round the corner, art & culture to bring Pinjore Gardens back to life

If you like art, culture and festivities this is where you’ve got to be. Haryana tourism’s annual Pinjore Heritage Festival is just round the corner.

Additional Chief Secretary , Department of Tourism for Haryana Government, Mr. Vijay Vardhan along with theater director GS Chani released the poster for 11th Pinjore Heritage Festival on Wednesday the 17th October. Mr. Vardhan who conceived and hosted the first ever Pinjore Heritage Festival in 2006 as Managing Director Haryana Tourism corporation is very excited for the event.

The four day long event is scheduled to start from 19th October and would run up to 22nd October. The event would take place at Yadavindra gardens or the legendary Pinjore Gardens of Mughal era located in modern day district Panchkula of Haryana.

The event would attract people from all walks of life. GS Chani’s play ‘1857 ki kahani Haryana ki zubaani’ would show the contributions of bravehearts of Haryana in first revolt of independence.

Apart from the play, the crowd would also be attracted by various other performers presenting their skill in folk dance arts of Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri & Kathak.

Crafts bazaar would be another centre of attraction wherein craftsmen from all over the country would display there works in form of handicrafts, pottery handlooms etc from all parts of the country.

Organizers have also planned a poetic treat for visitors. The event will be concluded on 22nd October with an evening ‘Mushaira’ by famous Urdu poets like Janab Had an Kamal, Dr. Kaleem Qaiser, Janab Iqbal Ashhar, Dr. Nusrat Mehdi, Mohtarma Isha Naz, Janab Naveen Need and more.
