Rivals OTT Release: The most anticipated American TV Series will be arriving in the digital screens on 18th October on Disney+Hotstar. The lead director is Elliot Hegarty, who is also credited as an executive producer for episodes 1 through 3.
Plot
The story of the show is set during 1986 and follows the cruel world of independant television in which many politicians and and social elites play games with each other
The plot of show moves around anOlympian turned politician and the relationship between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. The series moves round their fierce rivalry, confrontation and tussle for power.
The series also explores the rivalry between two groups and these two rivals are Tony Baddingham and Rupert Campbell-Black. It will also reflect their personal rivalry and drama.
The series is also based on the story of an iconic novel written by Dame Jilly Cooper. The upcoming American show will have 8 episodes and The series is expected to be released in the UK and internationally on Disney
And in the United States on Hulu on 18th October. The trailer of the show also shows rivalry between the two brats who battle to let each other down and feels pride in playing games with each other.
The series is a pack of emotions, politics, drama and sex and is set during 1980s. It also shows how big deals go to the bedroom and from bedrooms to the Board room.
Cast and Production
The star cast features David Tennant, Danny Dyer, Katherine Parkinson & Alex Hassell in pivotal roles. In May 2023, the cast was rounded out with Lara Peake and David Calder revealed to be joining the series
