New Delhi: Legendary Singer Sonu Nigam is celebrating his birthday today, and as the Indian Playback Singer turns a year older.. lets take a look at his early life, career and the journey which made him an iconic singer.
Hailing from Haryana, the Indian Playback singer began singing when he was 4 years old. He used to accompany his father in his singing performances at wedding parties and events.
Sonu Nigam received his training under the guidance of Indian Classical Singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. He sang his first song for a film in 1996 ‘Janam’ but the film was never released. He also sang for a TV Show in DD1 called ‘Talaash’.
His mother hails from Garhwal and he has 2 sisters. Sonu Nigam got married in 2002 and has a son. He is also a receipant of Padma Shri. The legendary singer is also given a title of ‘Moden Rafi’ from his fans.
