British TV host refers to Priyanka Chopra as ‘Chiancha Chapri’ in Viral Video, Leaves netizens furious

New Delhi: An old video of a Television host terribly mispronouncing the name of renowned Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has lately resurfaced on social media.

In the widely circulating clip, British TV anchor Andi Peters is heard referring to Priyanka as “Chianca Chapri” while introducing her statue to Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins, the anchors of Good Morning Britain.

The viral clip opens with Andi Peters interacting about statues with Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins while being present in London’s wax museum Madam Tussauds.

During the same interaction, one of the anchors asks then Andi Peters to tell him about the wax statue (Priyanka Chopra’s statue) the latter is standing beside. To this, confused Peters replay and says, “This is Chiyanka Chapri”.

Shocked on hearing Andi’s response, Adil then quickly corrects him saying, “Oh My god she is Priyanka Chopra.” He continues to speak about the actress and further introduces her as a popular Bollywood actress who is now also a renowned name in the USA.”

Realizing his mistake, Andi then asserts that he is aware of Priyanka Chopra & also knows that she is the wife of one of the Jonas brothers.

Angry Netizens Reacts
According to reports, the incident place at least 2 months ago when Andi visited London back in March 2024. However, with its clip doing rounds on the internet once again, netizens are taking to social media & expressing their displeasure with Andi Peters’s rude gesture.

While some are schooling the UK-based TV host for deliberately making fun of the 41-year-old actress, others are slamming him for not preparing properly before appearing in the show.

“Is a huge disrespect not only for the pronunciation because anyone can have a mistake, but here was not a mistake is doing it on purpose.” penned one user. ” Bro should’ve learned her name before speaking”, added another. A third comment read, “It’s all right. We don’t know everyone’s name.
