New Delhi: Popular South actress Rashmika Mandana has joined the star cast of the most anticipated film ‘ Sikandar’. The actress will play the leading lady of the film opposite legendary actor Salman Khan. The film’s shoot is scheduled to kick off in June this year and will release during EID 2025. The film is directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The Makers shared the news of welcoming the actress through an Instagram Post. It reads, Welcoming the fabulous @rashmika_mandanna to star opposite @beingsalmankhan in #Sikandar! Can’t wait for their on-screen magic to unfold on EID 2025!
Rashmika was last seen in the mega block buster film ‘Animal’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film was a massive hit at the box office. Rashmika played the role of Ranbir’s wife in the film.
The Animal actress reacted to the news of the update shared by the makers, she wrote “You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is…Surprise!! I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of #Sikandar (sic).”
Rashmika will be seen in her upcoming project ‘Pushpa 2’ starring Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil. She recently spoke about the film during an interview and said “It starts feeling like home. Like, when you finish one film, and towards the end of the film you get really connected with the cast and crew, right, so when you have the part 2 coming, again you’re like, ‘Hey, what’s up!?’ and you just, sort of like, it’s party time,”
