WhatsApp status beyond 24 hours? Know about ‘Status Archive’ feature

New Delhi: The globally popular Meta-owned instant messenger WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new update (version 2.23.11.18) that will bring the “Status Archive” feature to the platform which will allow its users to see status updates for more than 24 hours.

Status Archive feature-
According to the reports, the new feature called “Status Archive” will enable its users to access their status updates from last 30 days and share the same with their customers anytime. Businesses will also be using this feature to make advertisements to promote their business on other meta platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

Additionally, the feature will give its users the ability to access archived status directly from the menu under the Status tab.

The new feature has been introduced to enhance the user experience of WhatsApp business users and assist them to work more efficiently. It is currently in its beta testing stage and once successful, will be released to the public at large in the upcoming weeks.

Notably, up until this update, neither WhatsApp nor WhatsApp Business allows its users to view status updates after a span of 24 hours.

It is important to mention that the “Status Archive” feature will be only limited to WhatsApp business users and regular WhatsApp messenger users won’t be able to access any status updates that are archived.

In addition to this new feature, the popular messenger is also continuously working on a number of various exciting features such as screen sharing, unique usernames, etc that are going to turn the platform even more interactive and user-friendly in the upcoming days.
