Madhya Pradesh: Bulldozer demolishes illigal structure at Indore temple after 36 deaths in roof collapse incident

New Delhi: Bulldozer’s demolished the illigal structure at Indore’s Beleshwar Mahadev temple after 36 people lost their lives on the occassion of Ram Navami.

More than five bulldozers have been deployed by the Indore municipality.

When the bulldozers rolled in at the Indore temple, District administration officials and police personnel were present at the spot.

Makrand Deoskar, Commissioner of Police (CP), Indore said that a case has been registered against the President and Secretary of temple administration under IPC section 304.

Also, a Case of unintentional murder has been registered.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Sigh Chauhan also met the injured persons who were admitted in the hospita following the stepwell collapse incident.

The stepwell collapse incident happened occurred at Beleshwar Jhulelal Mahadev Temple located in Patel Nagar at around 11 am on Thursday while Ram Navami’s Havan puja was underway.

Earlier the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) had issued notices regarding illegal construction but since no action was taken in this regard, two officals of IMC was suspended.
