New Delhi: As Pakistan continues to remain in the throes of possible terror attack, series of nations are issuing travel alerts for its citizens based or currently on a tour in Islamabad.

Saudi Arabia is the latest country to issue advisory for its citizens in Pakistan. In the advisory, it has asked its citizens to limit their movement and also warned them to stay cautious especially after series of blasts rocked Pakistan on Sunday. It also asked citizens to be more vigilant on the move and not step out except for emergency purpose, in wake of rising terror threat in the country.

Prior to Saudi Arab, US, UK & Australia have already raised alarm bells for its citizens after Pakistani establishment raised its security alert to highest levels.

These nations have also asked their citizens to avoid stay in 5-star hotels as they could become prime targets of terrorist attack.

“The Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan would like to warn all citizens residing and visiting the Islamic Republic of Pakistan of the need to take caution and not go out except for necessity,” Saudi Embassy in Islamabad wrote on Twitter.

Australia had on Monday issued travel advisory for its citizens in Pakistan and asked them to limit travels within the city.

During the weekend, the US govt had warned about possible terror attack at Islamabad’s Marriott Hotel where American citizens could be prime targets. The US embassy in Pakistan also stopped American staff from visiting the 5-star property.
