1. P.V. Sindhu (Badminton)
This 23-year-old Indian badminton player is the winner silver medal at the Rio Olympics and will be India’s biggest hope in badminton to bring India its first ever Gold Medal in Badminton at the Asian Games. This former World number 2 and now number 3 will be leading the Indian badminton at the Asian Games 2018.
In CWG 2018, Sindhu became the only player after Lee Chong Wei to win three Consecutive silvers in major tournaments.
2. Manu Bhaker (Shooting)
This 16-year young shooter will be one of the most watched players to win the Gold medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event at Asian Games 2018. Manu Bhaker has won two gold medals at the ISSF World Cup 2018 and also became the youngest Indian shooter to win a gold at the ISSF World Cup.
She also won a gold medal at CWG 2018 in women’s 10 m air pistol event.
3. Deepika Kumari (Archery)
This former World number 1 and now number 5 will be leading the Indian recurve archery contingent in the Asian Games 2018. Deepika has won a gold in the CWG 2010 in the women’s individual recurve event. She will be participating in both the individual and the team events as well. With multiple medals in her hands in the World Championships, she would definitely compete to win her first ever Gold Medal at the Asian Games 2018.
4. Neeraj Chopra (Athletics)
This 20-year-old Junior World Record holder in Javelin will mark his first Asian Games appearance this year. He has won many Gold Medals at different World events like 2016 South Asian Games, 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships, Asian Athletic championships 2017, 2018 Commonwealth Games. He also became the first Indian to win a gold medal in Javelin Throw at CWG debut in 2018.
5. Vikas Krishan (Boxing)
This Indian male boxer will be competing for his 2nd gold medal in the Asian Games after winning a gold medal in Asian Games 2010 and CWG 2018 already. He will be leading the Indian boxing in the 75kg category.
