New Delhi : Cricket fans are going gaga over Indian opener Smriti Mandhana as she continued her dominance over Australia on Friday as she notched her maiden Test century on the second day of the pink-ball Test.
Mandhana created history on Friday by becoming the first Indian woman to score a century in a pink-ball Test. She played a 127-run knock against Australia in the one-off Pink Ball Test making her the Indian woman to score a century on Australian soil.
Now, Mandhana has the highest individual score for India Women in Australia in all three formats.
The cricketer is also trending on twitter for two more reasons – her ‘Oh Haseena Zulfonwali’ moment on the pitch and her reply to a Harleen Deol where she’s asking ‘Alexa’ to mute the fellow team-mate.
As Smriti’s knock started trending on social media, Harleen Deol came out to dedicated the classical chartbuster ‘O Haseena Zulfonwali Jaane Jahan’ from 1966 blockbuster Teesri Manzil to the batter.
Harleen wrote, ‘Alexa please play: “oh haseena zulfo vali!!!”
Her tweet garnered overwhelming attention from social media users, with her comment section was flooded with adorable reactions :
