New Delhi: Former Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, and 13 other MLAs are likely to quit the Congress on Friday and join the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

He is likely to make an official announcement after a meeting with the TMC leaders in Meghalaya.

This comes weeks after former Goa Chief Minister and a Congress leader for over 40 years, Luizinho Faleiro, joined the TMC.

The Mamata Banerjee-led TMC registered a landslide victory in polls winning 213 seats in the 294-member West Bengal assembly. Despite aggressive campaigning, the BJP lost the polls but emerged as the second-largest party with 77 seats.
