ICC Women ODI Ranking: Lizelle Lee rises to top of batting list, joins Mithali Raj

New Delhi: South Africa opener Lizelle Lee, on Tuesday joined Indian captain and skipper Mithali Raj at the top of the list in the latest ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings. Lee’s unbeaten 91 in the opening match in the first ODI of the five-match series against West Indies, helped her to reach the joint-first position in the ODI rankings.

Lee had earlier seized the first position in the ODI rankings in June 2018 and again in the March this year, scoring 18 runs in the second match, also counted in towards the ranking updates of this week.

Mithali maintained her top position jointly with Lee at 762 rating points, while Australia’s Alyssa Healy stands at third place in the list. Indian opener Smiriti Mandhana also retained on to her ninth spot in the rankings.

In T20I rankings, England’s Sarah Glenn jumped to second spot among bowlers after the hosts wrapped up the series against New Zealand 2-1. Leigh Kasperek, the top Kiwi wicket-taker of the series scalping 6 wickets in 3 games, went up seven places to 15th.
