New Delhi: Centre on Friday said to Supreme Court that Kanwar Yatra may be allowed subject to following of Covid protocols.
Central govt on Friday said the Supreme Court movement of Kanwariyas for bringing Ganga Jal from Haridwar to Shiv temples of their choice should not be allowed in view of Covid. However, State should make Ganga Jal available through tankers at designated locations.
Considering religious sentiments, Gangal jal should be made available at designated locations so that Kanwariyas can collect it and do “Abhishek” at nearest Shiv temple: Central govt tells Supreme Court.
