Supreme Court allows Permanent Commission to women officers

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the Central government to allow permanent commission (PC) to women officers who were excluded from the same on the ground of fitness standards.

“Superficial face of equality will not be in consonance with the principles enshrined in the Constitution,” the Court said.
