New Delhi: Even as the military confrontation between the Indian Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh seems set to extend into the foreseeable future, the Chinese media continues to threaten India with dire consequences.

The Global Times newspaper, the official mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and by extension the government of China, has once again harked back to the 1962 war to threaten India with another heavy defeat if the Indian Army continues to confront the PLA on the LAC in Ladakh.

This statement of Global Times was issued on Tuesday after pictures of the preparations of the Indian Army in Ladakh came put into the public domain.

After seeing the strength of India and the might of the Indian Army, the Chinese have released a new propaganda video, which shows the strength of China’s PLA in an effort to intimidate India.

China sometimes uses provocative language through its state-controlled Chinese newspapers. So sometimes the Chinese government tries to display its strength by posting videos of PLA  drills on social media.

But perhaps the Chinese have forgotten that wars and battles are fought with courage on the battlefield rather than on videos.

The Chinese have witnessed the courage of the Indian Army at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh when a handful of Indian soldiers beat back a much larger PLA force after inflicting heavy casualties.

China is well aware that if there is a fight with India, the PLA will suffer heavy losses with heavy casualties of Chinese soldiers. This is why China is repeatedly sharing propaganda videos through its official mouthpiece and its news channels.

One such video was shown on China’s news channel CCTV 7. In this video, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China is seen doing military exercises. This video from China comes at a time when the situation at LAC is tense.

How scared China is can be gauged from the fact that it has thrown all its strength in this video. The Chinese are trying to intimidate by displaying their weapons. Artillery guns, fighter aircraft and missiles have been displayed by the PLA as the Chinese attempt to display their strength.
