Tanhaji collects Rs 61.75 cr while Chhapaak earns Rs 19.02 cr


New Delhi, Ajay Devgn starrer historical saga Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak released together on January 10. Om Raut’s directorial Tanhaji, which is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was a 17th-century Maharashtrian Marathi military leader, is receiving a positive response of the fans. Tanhaji witnessed decent growth at the box office on Sunday and collected Rs 26.08 cr making it to a total of Rs 61.75 cr in India.

Sharing the collection of the Tanhaji, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, ”#Tanhaji has a heroic weekend… Footfalls, occupancy, numbers multiply on Day 2 and 3… on  Day 3… #Maharashtra is exceptional… Other circuits witness big turnaround on Day 2 and 3… Fri 15.10 cr, Sat 20.57 cr, Sun 26.08 cr. Meanwhile, Deepika’s film Chhapaak which opened to a collection of Rs 4. 77 cr, witnessed growth on Sunday. Chhapaak made a total collection of Rs 19.02 cr.
