Lara Dutta recalls mercilessly beating man who harassed her in Delhi, says Akshay Kumar stopped her

New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actress Lara Dutta recently shocked her fans by recalling a distressing incident of harassment that she faced in Delhi about two decades back.

Speaking about the unpleasant ordeal, the former Miss Universe, in her latest interview with Hautterfly, revealed how she was eve-teased by a random guy during the music release event of her 2003 release romantic movie Andaaz.

While narrating the entire incident, Lara also disclosed how she dealt with the harasser & ended up teaching him a lesson of a lifetime.

In an interview hosted by Hautterfly, Lara said that the eve-teasing incident occurred while she, accompanied by her-co-stars Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, was gracing the Raj Kanwar directorial movie’s promotional event in Chandni Chowk situated Rythem house in Delhi.

She described that in the event, an ocean of fans & media persons gathered in the hall to see her, former Miss World Priyanka & Khiladi Akshay Kumar coming together for the first time.

However, amid this fan frenzy, one random man from the crowd pinched the Saree-clad 46-year-old actress leaving her shocked & confused.

Later on, Lara revealed how she pulled out her harasser from the crowd, threw him on the road, and thrashed him so hard that even Akshay Kumar got concerned & eventually intervened to stop her.

“I bashed him up so badly, in a sari. Akshay got very worried, and he pulled me away from him, and said, ‘What are you doing? You’re an actor now. You can’t be doing all this.” the actress added further.

Meanwhile, on her professional front, Lara is currently occupied with promoting her recently released web show Raneeti Balakot & Beyond.

Helmed by director Santosh Singh, the action-thriller is inspired by the 2019 Balakot air strikes that the IAF conducted in the aftermath of the Pulwama terrorist attack.
