Women’s Premier League Auctions LIVE Updates: 409 players to go under hammer at 2:30 pm IST

New Delhi: Auctions for the inaugural Women’s Premier League are about to begin. Women’s cricket is at the centre stage with ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and WPL around. The biggest league for women’s cricket is about to begin and the cricket fraternity has its eye on it.

A total of 409 cricketers have been listed to go under the hammer in the auctions, whlile there are only 90 slots to be filled by the five teams. The list includes 246 Indians and 163 overseas players, including eight from associate nations.

The highest base price of a player is set to Rs 50 lakh and 24 players are listed at this price, including Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Meg Lanning, Sophie Devine and Ellyse Perry.

The auction will begin at 2:30 pm IST.
