New Delhi: Former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Thursday that he had come across reports that The Resistance Front, an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has issued a death threat to him.<\/p>\n
While addressing a public meeting in South Kashmir\u2019s Anantnag, Ghulam Nabi Azad said he is scared of nothing<\/p>\n
He also appealed to the terrorists asking them to give up arms as it only brings destruction and miseries to people.<\/p>\n
He also mentioned that he was targeted in Punjab and Kashmir for over 50 times but god saved his life.<\/p>\n
Last month, Ghulam Nabi Azad had resigned from the Congress. Before forming his own party, he has held a series of meetings in Jammu and Kashmir which is likely to be announced in the next one week.<\/p>\n
Attacking Pakistan for terrorism, he said that violence has left thousands of women as widows and lakhs of children as orphans in Kashmir valley.<\/p>\n
Azad also said that he is not like other leaders who exploit religious sentiments to win elections.<\/p>\n
He also said that death threats have been issued against him but he will not be deterred to pursue the path of peace.<\/p>\n
However, Azad is facing a pushback on the issue of Article 370, even before the formal announcement of his new party.<\/p>\n
He had also told his supporters that it is not possible to restore Article 370 that was revoked by the central government in August 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
