New Delhi\/NCR,\u00a0Foundation Against Thalassemia is all set to raise an important digital step tonight towards its mission of “Helping India become Thalassaemia Free by 2025”, by launching its Mobile App.\u00a0 On the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day of the country the FAT (abbreviation of Foundation Against Thalassaemia) App will be dedicated to all the children suffering from thalassaemia.<\/div>\n

The Foundation’s Chief Patron, Madan Chawla said that this app is the first such an exclusive app dedicated to Thalassaemia, which in addition to providing information about thalassemia disease, also helps registrations of children with thalassemia, blood donation, thalasseamia career test, stem cell \/ bone marrow donation camp etc.\u00a0 Apart from this, 24×7 online information will also be available about all future programs of the Foundation like free medicines distribution, blood transfusion camps, health camps, thalassaemia carnivals etc. through this App.<\/div>\n

FAT App also has a secure Payment Gateway, through which people can give financial support with debit \/ credit cards, net banking, pay TM and many other ways. It is worth mentioning that the donation given to the Foundation is exempted under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act.<\/div>\n

Not only this, through this app, people can also connect to the Foundation’s Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest accounts as well its Website.<\/div>\n

Madan Chawla, who is a certified Thalassemia Care Expert by Thalassemia International Federation, Cyprus, further said that more than 400 million people use smartphones in our country. According to the changing times, it is very important to adopt technology oriented modern methods to spread information about thalassaemia to increase the size and speed of outreach.<\/div>\n
