{"id":7177,"date":"2021-07-06T07:25:58","date_gmt":"2021-07-06T07:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=7177"},"modified":"2021-07-06T07:25:58","modified_gmt":"2021-07-06T07:25:58","slug":"covid-19-third-wave-may-hit-india-by-mid-august-peak-in-september-sbi-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=7177","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 third wave may hit India by mid-August, peak in September: SBI report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi: As India fights Covid19 second wave, there are reports of third-wave hitting the country by mid-August and will peak in September.<\/p>\n<p>The report has been published  by the SBI research \u2013  titled \u2018COVID-19: The race to finishing line.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In said, \u201cThe third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to hit India by mid-August, while cases may peak in September.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>India has achieved its second wave peak on May 7 and going by the current data, the country can experience around 10,000 cases somewhere around the second week of July,\u201d State Bank of India`s Group Chief Economic Adviser, Soumya Kanti Ghosh, said in the report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, based on historical trends, the cases can start rising by the second fortnight of Aug` 21 with peak cases at least a month later.\u201d he said further.<\/p>\n<p>Current cases are now hovering around 45,000 since the past week, indicating that the devastating second wave is \u201cnot yet over in the country and is exhibiting a fat tail\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi: As India fights Covid19 second wave, there are reports of third-wave hitting the country by mid-August and will peak in September.
