New Delhi: Supreme Court on Monday said the question of entry into Delhi is a law and order situation that is to be determined by Police.<\/p>\n
Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing for Centre, said that tractor rally by farmers will be illegal & there will likely be an entry of 5000 people in Delhi.<\/p>\n
Court will also hear the application filed by Delhi Police seeking a direction to put an injunction on the proposed tractor rally on Republic Day. Court had already issued notice on this matter on January 12th.<\/p>\n
Here is what Court said:<\/p>\n
# We are not going to tell you what you should do. We will take up this matter on Jan 20.<\/p>\n
# SC says police is first authority to decide who should be allowed to enter Delhi.<\/p>\n
# You have all authority to deal with this matter.<\/p>\n
