{"id":5627,"date":"2020-10-27T06:50:47","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T06:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=5627"},"modified":"2020-10-27T06:50:47","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T06:50:47","slug":"coronavirus-pandemic-india-registers-lowest-covid-19-spike-in-3-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=5627","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus Pandemic: India registers lowest COVID-19 spike in 3 months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi:<\/strong>\u00a0The ongoing month of October continues to register a drastic reduction in the daily spikes in the number of fresh\u00a0coronavirus\u00a0cases in India, giving rise to hopes that the\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0pandemic is gradually receding in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Even as the spike in the number of new\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0cases continues to decline in India, the country has logged an increase in the number of people recovering from\u00a0coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The declining number of coronavirus cases in India is being seen as a positive indication\u00a0although medicines and vaccines capable of battling the COVID-19 virus are yet to be found.<\/p>\n<p>With Unlock 5 already allowing the reopening of movie theaters, swimming pools and educational institutions, it was feared in several quarters that this may help in the further spread of the COVID-19 virus and thus lead to a spike in the number of coronavirus cases.<\/p>\n<p>However, such fears have proved to be unfounded so far. The daily rise in the number of new COVID-19 cases has shown a marked decline so far in October while the number of\u00a0coronavirus\u00a0patients who have recovered and managed to defeat the pandemic has increased.<\/p>\n<p>India\u00a0registered a spike of 36,470 new Covid-19 cases and 488 coronavirus deaths over the last 24 hours. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Tuesday\u00a0that India&#8217;s total coronavirus tally now stands at 79,46,429.<\/p>\n<p>This is the lowest spike in new cases in the last three months.<\/p>\n<p>The recorded spike in new coronavirus cases on\u00a0Monday\u00a0was 45,148.<\/p>\n<p>Of the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded over the last 24 hours on Tuesday, 6,25,857 are currently active while 72,01,070 have been discharged. However, 1,19,502 lost the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday,\u00a0the coronavirus recovery rate stands at 90.23 percent while the COVID-19 fatality rate is 1.50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The worst-hit\u00a0state\u00a0continues to be\u00a0Maharashtra. The state has logged a total of 16,48,665 coronavirus cases, including 43,348 deaths.
