{"id":2917,"date":"2019-04-17T05:30:32","date_gmt":"2019-04-17T05:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=2917"},"modified":"2019-04-17T05:30:32","modified_gmt":"2019-04-17T05:30:32","slug":"govt-cancels-visa-of-bangladeshi-actor-after-campaign-row","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncrfrontlinenews.com\/?p=2917","title":{"rendered":"Govt cancels visa of Bangladeshi actor after campaign row"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi, <\/strong>The Indian government on Tuesday cancelled the visa of the Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed after he campaigned for a Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha candidate in Bengal.<\/p>\n<p>The government has also asked him to leave the country and blacklisted him, a Home Ministry statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After receiving a report from the Bureau of Immigration regarding visa violations committed by Bangladesh national Ferdous Ahmed, MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs) has cancelled his business visa and issued him a leave India notice. He also has been blacklisted. FRRO Kolkata has been directed to ensure compliance of these orders,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The action comes two days after Ahmed campaigned for Trinamool&#8217;s Raiganj candidateKanaia Lal Agarwal, who faces stiff competition from Congress&#8217;s Deepa Dasmunshi and CPI-M&#8217;s Mohammad Salim.<\/p>\n<p>Voting in Raiganj during the second phase of the Lok Sabha election on April 18.
