New Delhi: The globally popular Meta-owned instant messenger WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new update (version 2.23.11.18) that will bring the \u201cStatus Archive\u201d feature to the platform which will allow its users to see status updates for more than 24 hours.<\/p>\n
Status Archive feature-
\nAccording to the reports, the new feature called \u201cStatus Archive\u201d will enable its users to access their status updates from last 30 days and share the same with their customers anytime. Businesses will also be using this feature to make advertisements to promote their business on other meta platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the feature will give its users the ability to access archived status directly from the menu under the Status tab.<\/p>\n
The new feature has been introduced to enhance the user experience of WhatsApp business users and assist them to work more efficiently. It is currently in its beta testing stage and once successful, will be released to the public at large in the upcoming weeks.<\/p>\n
Notably, up until this update, neither WhatsApp nor WhatsApp Business allows its users to view status updates after a span of 24 hours.<\/p>\n
It is important to mention that the \u201cStatus Archive\u201d feature will be only limited to WhatsApp business users and regular WhatsApp messenger users won\u2019t be able to access any status updates that are archived.<\/p>\n
