When writing the narrative for the historical drama, director Gunasekhar had Samantha in mind. \u201cWhen I wanted to make the everlasting love story of Shakuntala and Dushyant in a fascinating landscape of a beautiful dreamy forest much like a forest princess in a Disney kind of movie, I wanted a character who was relatable to the younger viewers, and felt Samantha would be appropriate for this movie and contacted her,\u201d Gunasekhar said.<\/p>\n
Samantha, according to the filmmaker, matched the part wonderfully and no one could have played it better than her.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe film follows the emotional journey of a lady who falls in love and the obstacles that fate throws her way. She\u2019s an inner-strong persona that portrays her feelings with respect and grace in all she does. All of these emotions can only be expressed by a brilliant actor like Samantha, and she was our only choice to be able to create this epic,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
