Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday lashed out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and said that he \u201cfailed to respect\u201d his father and veteran leader Mulayam Singh Yadav.<\/p>\n
Yogi\u2019s remark came while addressing the state Assembly during the ongoing Budget Session.
\n\u201cStatements were made that \u2018Ladke hai galati kar dete hai\u2019. I am surprised when they talk about democracy. They talk about security in the state\u2026. Sharm to tumhe karni chahiye jo apne baap ka samman nahi kar paye ho (You should be ashamed that you failed to respect your father). Is this how you should behave? I have not named anyone but the remarks which have been made have to be discussed,\u201d Yogi said.<\/p>\n
Alleging that the Opposition feels \u201cproud\u201d in calling Uttar Pradesh a \u2018bimaru rajya\u2019, the Chief Minister said that this reveals their intentions for the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey feel proud to say that UP is backward and bimaru. This reveals their intentions for UP because when they were in the government, they could not do anything. Now when the double-engine government is working at a fast pace and is benefitting the public, they are upset,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Giving reference to the Prayagraj incident where shots were fired by multiple men in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, the Chief Minister said that the government is looking into the matter with a zero-tolerance policy. He also slammed Samajwadi Party alleging that the party made Atiq Ahmed an MP.<\/p>\n
