Do you know why Diwali is celebrated? there are many reasons behind this. Some of you have heard from childhood, some of us are going to add this to our general knowledge. We are going to tell you the 3 reason due to which we celebrate the festival of light.

All of us know that on this day, Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman. His whole state was filled with happiness due to his return. On this occasion, the people of Ayodhya lighted ghee Deepak. Till that day everyone celebrates Diwali.

If you know the story of Mahabharata. Pandavas were trapped in the trap of Shakuni Mama and lost everything. He gave 13 years Agyatvash to them. On the new moon day (Amavasya) of Kartik, Pandavas (Arjuna, Bhima, Nakul, Sahadeva and Yudhishtir) returned to their kingdom. In the joy of their return, the people there celebrated happiness with lamps. Therefore, the festival of Deepawali is also celebrated.

Diwali is celebrated on the new moon (Amavasya) of Kartik month(October-November). On this day, Goddess Lakshmi took birth from the sea churning. Lakshmi is considered as Goddess of wealth and glory. For this reason, we worship Goddess Lakshmi on the day of Diwali and pray for wealth and glory.
